Semantic search ranks files by meaning on your Mac. Cloud-aware browsing avoids downloading online-only files just to list them, while SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, S3-compatible storage, and Azure Blob support remote workflows. The real AppKit list has a reproducible one-million-row virtualization demo using synthetic entries; that measures rendering, not a promise about every storage device.
